The Town of Boxford was recently awarded a grant in the amount of $286,493 for Hazard Mitigation. The Massachusetts Energy Management Agency (MEMA) and the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) are responsible for distributing approximately $13.2 million in federal aid for all hazard mitigation associated with sever winter storms, snowstorms, and flooding. Grants like these are hugely important for towns to boost their resiliency to natural hazard events, of which there are many in our Commonwealth. Congratulations, Boxford!
